The Way of the World
In this life’s social competition, we fight against time with all its rounds of bullets. It’s like being in a race where nobody wins. We grow old in the blink of an eye. There’s always someone better, has more skills, is more popular.
It is like getting a fancy phone – there’s always a new model.
Isn’t this pursuit too tiresome?
Social media influencers, celebrities, and even some of our friends can make us feel that our lives amount to nothing. Unless we travel half of the world, we haven’t seen enough. Unless we have a master’s degree, we’re never truly accomplished. Unless we have a big house or an expensive car.
This world has its course. It has no regard for virtue. It gives us temporary highs, and it hijacks our dreams.
