Come Out of the Darkness!
Many of us have gotten used to the darkness. Spiritual veils cloud our vision. We cannot see that there is a better place than where we are right now. But 2 Corinthians 3:16 says,
But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.
God removes our veils the moment we receive Jesus into our lives. We would come to see things from an eternal perspective.
There’s a better place — a land flowing with milk and honey. In that place, there is joy, peace, rest, blessings, and eternal life. And it is not too good to be true. It is true; and more real than our current reality.
We can dream of heaven today. It is our ultimate promised land, and it is prepared for us. In fact, it won’t be complete without us. Hebrew 11:40 says,
Since God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.
In John 14:3, Jesus also says,
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.
We groan for perfection because we were created for that perfect place to be with God forever. While on earth, we groan for blessings, perfect health, perfect relationships, perfect jobs, etc. Because we are just sojourners here. We’re not created for unemployment, depression, sickness, danger, and death. And as we grow old in life, we realize that there is nothing perfect in this world; we can’t achieve it.
But it doesn’t mean that we should just slack off and wait for death so that we can be transported. There’s a purpose God has placed in each of us here on earth. It is a privilege to know it and live it.
Hell is as real as heaven. It is not intended for us but for Satan and his angels. However, we would end up there if we reject Jesus here on earth.
