The 3 Ds in the Body of Christ
Doctrines, Differences and Divisions
Working in a Christian music school, my co-workers are from different churches — New Creation, Trinity Christian Centre, FCBC, Assemblies of God, Methodist, Grace Community, etc. Some from really contemporary churches and some from traditional ones. Some believe in speaking in tongues, some don’t.
When I was new in this company, I used to be blunt to tell others the problem with their doctrine. I would insinuate what I believed. But I realized that I was being judgmental. When you see believers walk the talk, it makes you question your prejudices.

Let me share with you my takeaways:
- We just can’t judge other believers or preachers as that is God’s job alone. If we are not careful, we might end up blaspheming the Holy Spirit that is working in their lives/ministry.
- We should consider others better than we are, learn to work together as a body of Christ, and enjoy the company of other believers.
- Our knowledge of doctrines are only as good as we live them. In the end, we won’t be measured by our doctrines but by our lives. And by the…
